Fil is thankful for the many children she has had the opportunity to work with for the past 20 years.  She is also thankful to the Lord that He has continued to bless the school.

Laura Graffe

Assistant Teacher

Laura Graffe has just completed her second full year with us at the Preschool as an Assistant Teacher. She has a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Georgia Southern College as well as a Masters Degree in Education from Texas A&M, Corpus Christi. Laura has had a variety of teaching oppportunies which include teaching special education at the middle and high school levels for six years in Athens, GA and two years of the same for the Department of Defense in Sicily, Italy. She is married and has two children.

Laura praises the Lord for the wonderful opportunity to serve at Lambs Christian Preschool and often states: "I can't help but smile when I am around the children and had no idea of what I was missing." Laura finds strength in the verses found in Jeremiah 29:11-13. "The children at Preschool pray and learn God's Word. They hear about hope and a future with Christ." states Laura.

Mary Melcher

Teaching Aide

Mary Melcher joined the Preschool staff in the fall of 1993. She has always had a great love for young children and can trace this love back to her teenage years as she spent many days babysitting and acting as a mother's helper.  Mary continued to take care of other children in the home while raising her own. She is married and has 5 grown children and 8 grandchildren.

Mary draws strength from the verses Romans 12:2 and Psalm 127:3. "The children are a gift from the Lord," states Mary. The Preschool is teaching them to renew their minds so that they may be able to discern the world around them through the lens of Biblical truth.

As the year progresses, less time is spent in pre-session activities and social interaction, and more time is dedicated to working with circle time or in small groups involved in academic pursuits. This schedule is for both classes, but the time allotments are adjusted differently for each class and change as the children grow and mature.
